Chelsea Players presented TALKING WITH by Jane Martin from Actors' Theater of Louisville on April 29 and 30, at 8 pm, in the Banquet Room of Prime 82, 181 West Town Street in Norwich. This series of 10 monologues by women was presented in a cabaret setting. Produced by August Wolf, the monologues ranged from funny to dramatic to unsettling. Each allowed the performer to fully flesh out her character.

In FRENCH FRIES, the character voices her joy in spending every day at McDonald's. In MARKS, a heavily tattooed woman gradually reveals the reason for her inky gallery. The young woman in CLEAR GLASS MARBLES presents her response to the final three months of her mother's life, as 90 glass marbles are used to represent each of those final days. RODEO gives us an old-time rodeo rider who can't stand what's happened to the modern rodeo, with its family-friendly, glitzy, but tame atmosphere. Faye Ringel provided the pre-show music.
