Chelsea Players presented Arcadia

by Tom Stoppard November 7, 8, 14, & 15, 2008.

Winner of the 1995 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and the 1994 Olivier Award, Arcadia is a sophisticated comedy by Stoppard, one of theater's most respected and beloved playwrights. The play moves back and forth between 1809 and the present, exploring the nature of truth and time and the difference between classical and romantic temperaments. There are profound discussions of literature and mathematics, and a possible scandal involving Lord Byron. Both witty and poignant, Arcadia is likely to move the playgoer to laughter and tears.
